Beth and Joel met in 2021 and soon discovered that they were a perfect match. Joel liked to backpack barefoot and Beth enjoyed a 5 star lifestyle. Hmm?
It didn't take long for Beth to see the light, remove her shoes, don a backpack and take her first plunge to Costa Rica... well here goes.
Vows.World
was created to share our beautiful and exotic love story told through words, photographs, and film. It follows us, as we journey through jungles, mountain tops, and other remote, breathtaking landscapes, where we meet with, 'People of the World', who welcome us and perform traditional marriage ceremonies, spiritual blessings and vow renewals in our honor. What better way to experience their culture.
We also give back to the communities by providing English workbooks (for our special classes), paper maps (so they can see ‘their world’), extra medical supplies and glasses (for those remote areas in need). and of course, music, fun and games for *everyone* we encounter.
AND, if the karma is right🙏 🙏

Cambodia (1/26)
Indonesia (1/29/26)
We celebrated our anniversaries in Turkey, India, and Spain.
This is just the start.
So welcome to our party!
After 10 days living with Gaba and family, sleeping in hammocks, eating piranha & caiman, I surprised Beth with my first proposal. The couple sits in a hammock surrounded by the family, chanting throughout. They made a corona (crown) for her and a carved ring from a Tagua nut. Amazing energy and vibe. Love is in the air.

Once we returned from the jungle, we decided to make it official (to satisfy the naysayers). So we found our local shaman (officiate) Janet and we had a lovely family ceremony in our apartment.

El Salvador offered us a variety of experiences. Climbing Cotopaxi, fantastic ceviche, waterfalls and working out at the beach with sea turtles laying eggs. But when we arrived to Izalco we met Margarita, a local Nahua shaman... then the magic happened.
Driving through the reservation and sleeping by an open fire IN the canyon by the Colorado River, during the full moon, was magical. But when we met Frank, one of the last remaining tribal Elders after Covid, we felt one with the spirits.
